Route optimization algorithm

We want to use this algorithm to automate and optimize the routing of trucks that serve a very specific service. It is a version of the traveling salesman algorithm with some requirements. The format got stripped from my problem definition We have a license to Google maps api to utilize for this project. “Costs” -Every truck should be on a fixed cost amount per hour to determine the cost of a route. -The algorithm should consider the number of trucks available Every service point on the map must be complete before the end of the day Service points are locations that the trucks need to visit Service points are either deliveres, removals, swaps or relocations and are defined as follows: Delivery - Delivery of an empty container to a service point Truck must have an empty container on it that matches the container size Removal - Removal of a full container from a service point A truck must arrive to a removal service point empty and will leave with a full container Swap - Removal of a full container from a service point and replace with a new empty. **This can be completed by arriving with an empty container and removing a full or removing a full and delivering a new Relocation - visiting an existing service point to relocate a container The truck will arrive with no container and leave with no container “Requirements and considerations” -Yard addresses will be the starting and ending point for every truck at the beginning and end of the day Yards house inventory of containers Algorithm will need to consider inventory of containers that are available for deliveries -Trucks can only carry one container at a time Full containers have to be emptied before they can go to a new service point Landfill addresses will be supplied as locations that the trucks can empty containers These addresses are static Trucks will arrive at these locations with full containers and leave with empty containers Once a container is removed from a job site it has to go to a landfill site to be emptied When a container leaves the landfill site the assumption is that it is empty All service orders have a size stipulation If the truck is delivering a specific container size it must have an empty container of that size with it Orders can be on an AM or PM constraint (we can go with morning or afternoon) This is not always a requirement A truck can leave the yard with an empty container or with no container Landfills have time constraints on operating hours Dumpster can go to yard and then to landfill if there are time constraints then start at landfill in am
