I began with 10 years of active duty in the U.S. Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer, specializing in gas and steam turbine engineering. My service included assignments aboard two destroyers and two years as an engineering instructor at the Naval Academy. I continued my service for 11 years as a Selected Reserve Officer (Engineering Duty), serving as a Project Officer for surface ships and submarines, ultimately retiring as a Commander in 2003. In 1992, I transitioned to civilian life, joining Westinghouse as a gas turbine engineer within the Power Generation Business Unit. I remained with the company through its acquisition by Siemens in 1998, holding various positions in gas turbine and generator engineering, supply chain management, repair technology development, business development, and general management of two subsidiary companies: Jet Turbine Service, Inc. and TurboCare LLC. In 2014, I joined EthosEnergy, a joint venture of Wood Group and Siemens, as SVP of Engineering and Supply Chain Management. My responsibilities included leading design and in-service engineering teams, manufacturing, component repair operations, implementing global sourcing strategies, promoting process standardization and best practice sharing, and developing the supply chain. In 2020, I assumed global responsibility for all engineering activities across EthosEnergy's product lines, encompassing gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, transformers, gas compressors, and balance of plant. I led a team of over 500 engineers, overseeing the design, manufacture, and repair of power generation and industrial equipment from all OEMs. After a combined 30 years of service with Westinghouse, Siemens, TurboCare, and EthosEnergy, I retired in 2022 and founded Bright Capella Engineering Services PLLC.
