Antibacterial Properties of Bambusa vulgaris (Bamboo) Leaves and Eryngium foetidum (Culantro) Leaves

Journal of Medicinal Plant Research

An investigation was conducted to determine the antibacterial properties of Bambusa vulgaris and Eryngium foetidum leaves against S. aureus and E. coli bacteria. Phytochemical analysis and paper disc diffusion method were used to identify phytochemicals and evaluate antibacterial activity. The results showed that both extracts had a significant zone of inhibition against both bacteria, suggesting their potential use as antibacterial agents in medicine.

SOCIAL MEDIA ADDICTION AND STUDY HABITS OF SENIOR HIGH STUDENTS

International Journal of Engineering Technology Research & Management

The research investigated the correlation between social media addiction and study habits of senior high students in Agusan del Sur. A descriptive correlation method was used with 150 students surveyed via questionnaires. Results showed high levels of social media addiction and a significant relationship between addiction and study habits, with increased usage leading to increased study habits. However, the addiction did not significantly impact the students' study habits.

Growing Economy: Competitive Index Review in Agusan del Sur, Philippines

International Journal of Scientific Research and Engineering Development

A study reviewed the economic indicators of the province of Agusan del Sur in the Philippines to determine which municipality had the highest competitive index using economic dynamism, government efficiency, infrastructure and resiliency as core indicators. The findings showed that Veruela had the highest score (9.30) followed by San Francisco (6.95) and San Luis (4.31). The competitive index analysis could help investors identify the most conducive municipality for business.
