Hello, my name is Laura, I'm currently carrying out a PhD on the stress effects of noise in crustaceans such as crabs.
I have a master's in animals behaviour and Welfare looking at the physiological and behavioural impacts of pain and stress on crustaceans, once again looking at the crab.
I have spent 3 years in London at the Francis Crick institute and 3 years in the National university of Ireland Galway assisting researchers on projects to gain a greater understanding of diseases and disorders such as cancers, chronic pain and Parkinson's.
My main areas of interest is zoology, in particular how stress can affect animals.
I am very proficient with the statistical program R, research writing, analysis,
critical thinking and time management.
