Anthropologist, writer.

I am a social anthropologist from Colombia. I love to write and is my field of expertise, since in anthropology it is a must to know how to write - poetically or on a more serious academic tone. As a student I had to write all the time, and I had to learn how to do it well, finding my voice and my style, and learning how to love what at the time seemed like a simple assignment. On another note, I also love to read. I was an avid reader since I was thirteen, and it taught me to love the world and the people and cultures living in it. That is why I also love to travel, and I have had the opportunity to do so thanks to my career (even though I travel for pleasure too).

I worked as a social anthropologist in a public library in my city, Cali, Colombia. Part of my job was creating a survey to apply it to every worker in the library. The goal was to create a database with the social characteristics of the workers, so in the future, with that information, the library would be able to create social programs that adjust to the needs of the workers.
