Role of DPSP in Indian Constitution as well as in our Life

2nd Edition Justice Dipak Misra National Call for Chapters 2020.

The Directive Principles of State Policy (DPSP) are the 15 principles given to the federal institutes governing the State of India, to be kept in citation while framing laws and policies. These provisions contained in Part IV (Article 36–51) of the Constitution of India. They are appropriated from the Constitution of Ireland, which had copied it from the Spanish Constitution. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar described these principles as ‘novel features’ of the Constitution.

Case Analysis of L. C. Kumar V. Union of India

There had been a quest for disburdening the legal systems from the burden of service litigation, which formed a substantial portion of litigations. It was aimed that the Courts will have time to adjudicate other cases. Numerous SLPs, writs and civil appeals were filed was bought before the Apex Court, owing to decisions of several High Courts and provisions and enactments, hereby raising a number of questions of law, which were merged together in “L. C. Kumar v. UOI” for proper adjudication.
