This work aims at designing and sizing an off-grid Photo Voltaic system (PV system) for a residence. The major components of a solar PV system are PV panels, charge controllers, inverters, battery banks, and loads (appliances). Each part of the system is designed and sized based on the load requirement.
Residential - Solar PV design
Modeling and simulation of single-phase inverter by using MATLAB/Simulink. A simulation of the single-phase inverter is conducted to validate the application of the inverter, and the simulation result indicates that the AC output voltage of the desired magnitude is obtained. For simulation of the single-phase inverter, 763V DC voltage is used as an input and above 500 V AC output is obtained.
