My name is Dario Bonis and I was born in Cuneo, Italy.
I graduated in Physics from the University of Turin.
I am here to offer my experience as translator from English to Italian in various fields of culture, starting with Sciences (especially Physics and Mathematics), Art (Antiques) and in Literature, Music and Philosophy.
My course of study (especially during University, studying on English texts of Theoretical Physics and Mathematics), along with various stays abroad (United States and England), naturally brought me into contact with the reality of translation, towards which I have developed a convinced personal interest: I strongly believe that the possibility of translating correctly from one language to another can convey the only true sense of reality that we can share, starting with the words that each one of us, in every language, can read and pronounce.
In addition, during my activity as an antiques dealer, I collaborated with colleagues for the translation of texts and essays on Art and Antiques in general; during my teaching I co-worked an Italian grammar text for secondary school. With a deep personal interest in Music and Philosophy (I attended courses of execution of Baroque music and of history of contemporary Philosophy), I co-worked articles and small essays dedicated to these fields of culture.
I offer myself as a translator from English to Italian of:
. texts on Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Engineering
. lecture notes of scientific nature
. technical manuals
. articles, small essays about Art, Music, Philosophy, Culture and current topics.
I also offer myself as a columnist, writer, copyrighter from English to Italian on subjects of various topics to be introduced into italian reality and culture.
If you would like to contact me, we can arrange a test sample/piece with which you can check if I am suitable for your needs.
