I am tech enthusiast currently working in the field of data to develop data platforms being used by airline, hospitality and retail industries. Have hands on experience with RDBMS, SQL with expertise in Power BI for modelling the data and build interactive reports based on the data. I have been involved in creating a data lake over snowflake from the beginning. The project extracts data from Athena, postgreSQL to meet the business demand and store it in S3 bucket which streams that data into data lake staging area where it gets extracted into the extraction stage and only valid data moves to the trusted level which then loaded into the DIM tables in distribution stage as well as in the integration stage where sk_ids are generated. The integration data moves to FACT tables and is used to generate views as per the KPI requirements. The data lake connects with Power BI where all the needed views are modelled and certain new columns as well as measures are created to generate final Power BI reports. I started as the testing engineer for the first phase later got the ownership for understanding the business requirement and develop power BI as well as testing to find any scope of improvements, other than this I have been constantly involved with the data lake development and source data query development to help the team reach optimal solutions, debugging the data incase of failure and come up with the needed solutions. Have been also optimising the performance of data platform as and when it degrades with the passage of time by finding the cause and then implementing the remedy. Many famous Airlines are now using the dashboards created by me for flights, baggage and passengers analysis. Can't post any details or dashboards of the project as it's confidential, have posted just one random dashboard I created for fun at my initial time with Power BI.
