Web Designer Freelancer - USA

Seeking a short-term contractor to help with some work over-flow for current projects we have booked. The job will mainly involve website updates, new page creation on existing sites, some wordpress work, basically website maintenance tasks. Various tasks will be assigned.

Qualifications:

- Must be an independent individual contractor/ freelancer (not a team, group or firm)

- Must be as local as possible starting with NYC/ NJ Metro area and outward

- USA freelancer only (sorry, for time-sensitivity and efficiency I need domestic only)

- Must have significant experience building and maintaining websites with fluency in HTML/ CSS and to lesser extent javascript and Flash

- Other programming experience and skills are a plus, but not required

- Online portfolio and business/ employment references required

- Your core-competency must be website design and maintenance

Terms

The initial terms will be for short-term flat rate to establish the relationship. If things go well and demand requires it, a longer-term contract may be offered, but is not guaranteed nor is it part of this posting. I am offering a flat rate of $300 to be used as a "retainer" to bill against the hours of work required now. YOU MUST STATE YOUR HOURLY RATE IN YOUR BID. This hourly rate (if agreed) will be the rate we bill against the flat rate paid on THIS job.

Other notable issues:

If selected you will be required to sign a NDA and Sub-Contractor agreement. These are pretty standard with no surprises, but I cannot publish them here. You will have the right to reject the contract/ NDA and cancel the project after acceptance if you do not agree with the terms.

I have immediate work so you need to available to start working immediately. You must also be available by email, IM and phone during regular business hours. If you have another job, that's fine as long as you can give me an reasonable availability schedule so I know when I can contact you. If you have restrictions in this area you NEED TO MENTION IT IN YOU BID!! -- If you fail to tell me that until after I select you, I can always cancel and select someone else... So please be clear about this stuff.

Bidding:

1. Do not post contact info or I will report you. (this can get me in trouble too, so I have to) - Portfolio does not count as contact info.

2. References, portfolio link (or files), or other private details, post these on the PRIVATE MESSAGE BOARD, not on your main bid for everyone to see.

3. Do not post on the Project Clarification board at all, for any reason-- it will be ignored or reported if its inappropriate.

4. This is a flat-rate bid of $300, no more, no less. Just bid $300 and then tell me your hourly rate and break it down in your PRIVATE MESSAGE. Doing it any other way will be ignored.

5. Make sure to tell my why I should hire you, provide a portfolio, references, and your initial hourly rate

Remember, USA- Based individual freelancers only. Foreign people, and any firm or small- group company (foreign or domestic) will not be considered. No ongoing or future work is offered at this time for the purposes of this posting.
