Manager is looking for a Java developer (Server-side) but also has experience working on mainframe. The current phase of the project requires the use of COBOL & DB2 to source the data over for batch processing and reporting written in Java. In the later phase (sometimes mid-next year), the goal will eliminate sourcing data from mainframe and retrieving from a Big Data Solution platform – Hadoop.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Developer to join our growing team to deliver cutting edge Business applications and Web APIs supporting the development of Business Solutions such as Tax Compliance and Reporting Systems like the FACTA project. You will join a team that fosters innovative thinking to ensure we deliver cutting edge user experiences. The role is within the Trading & Operations division supporting the Wealth Management businesses. The candidate we are looking for should possess excellent backend server side development skills and has the ability to design highly scalable and intuitive solutions. This candidate should also be a natural leader who enjoys coaching and mentoring junior team members.

Wealth Operations & Technology is the operational engine of TD Wealth supporting all advisory channels under the Wealth banner, TD Asset Management and TD Securities. MUST HAVE
• 5+ years of server side development experience primarily in Java
•5+ years' experience with mainframe: COBOL, TSO, SAS, IMS, JCL, DB2, MQ, EBX
• 3+ years of J2EE design and development including EJB, JPA ,JMS, Spring, JDBC (Java batch framework would be an asset)
• 3+ years of database modelling and development (MS SQL Server)
• 3+ years with Web Services Design/Development - SOAP, JAX-WS, JAXB2, JAX-RS, REST, Web API, Spring, JSON
• 5+ years with Websphere, JBoss runtime environments
• 3+ years with UNIX shell scripting
• Experience with source control systems (such as Git, CVS)
• 3 years with Banking and Financial
• Experience with Agile delivery methodology, particularly Scrum, and related tools (e.g. Confluence, JIRA)
NICE TO HAVE
• Experience with Web Application Design/Development - JSP, XML, XSL, Java Script, Single-page-applications, AngularJS, node.js, RWD, HTML 5
• Experience with big/distributed/non-relational data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Scala and Spark
• Experience with automated task runners – Grunt, Gulp
• Unix shell scripting, Cloudify, TOSCA Blueprints
