REST API platform developer needed.
We are looking for a platform developer to start on a greenfield backend project. The project is a REST API that allows a user to deposit funds, make purchases, and make inventory queryable at a user level based on a number of different inventory properties.
Authenticate users coming from API consumers.
Connect to an existing algorithm that predicts purchase timing and shows historical purchase data.
Work with algorithm engineer on data storage, normalization, and queries to the data
Send templated emails to customers based on new inventory events
Languages and frameworks:
We are open to the framework and language that you are most productive with. We prefer popular languages and frameworks like these:
Languages + Frameworks:
Python (Flask, Django) or Java (Spring)
Databases:
Mysql or Postgres
Hosting:
AWS or Google Cloud
Payment gateway:
Plaid ([login to view URL])
Developer needs experience with:
Good english skills
REST APIs and working with API consumers
Session management
Transactional emails
Security aware development
TDD or other testing methodologies (tests are a must)
Building performant and scalable persistence layers using Mysql or Postgres
Experience that is a plus:
Ecommerce development experience
