Looking for Information Technology Manager for a freelancing project with Enterprise Client

Looking for an IT Environment Manager to be accountable for managing all environments (development/ pre-production and testing).

This is a remote job.

Candidates who are authorized to work in Australia without any restrictions can apply.

Pay rate: 100 - 110 AUD/hr

Responsibilities:

Supporting the testing of syntax, validity, integrity and functionality of rules in pre-production environment ready to be promoted into production, in a non-intrusive way

Delivering non-production environment(s) for testing the Solution

Establishing a training environment to train users without impacting the production environment .

Establishing three (3) configuration environments to support product configuration and testing .

Establishing testing environments covering ST, SIT, PT and pre-production must be established to support all stages of testing and deployment .

Establishing a capability to set up test environment on ad-hoc basis. For example, bring environment up for 2 weeks then bring it down, rather than creating a whole new test environment).

Establishing an end to end test environment that reflects the production environment and which does not require manual intervention to simulate what would happen in production .

Establishing a staging server to be mirror of the production environment in terms of software versions and functionality so as to ensure testing results are close to production results .

Establishing a staging system to allow the testing of new configurations or software patches prior to effecting the changes to production system

Establishing a staging server, if the department chooses, to act as a disaster recovery server for the production system

Establishing compatible tape drives and disk storage capacity on the staging server for the disaster recovery plan to work

Performing a trial disaster recovery run to prove that the staging server can be used for this stated purpose .

Ensuring a description of what tools and processes will be used to duplicate production to full-sized non-production environments (such as PT) that allow for any sensitive data to be removed (such as credit card numbers, addresses, etc.) .

Tooling administration, licencing and support. eg. Jira, etc.

Offshore environments management

Software installations

License management

Working in co-ordination with the Client Infrastructure team to install Software in Client environments.

Deploy the Pega rules into Pre-Prod and Production environments based on departmental approval processes.

Hardware Purchase in the specifications

Provide support to Improve Infrastructure team to install required software’s and patches.

Disaster Recovery Plan for the Hardware

Participate in DR testing

Integrate the Hardware with existing systems

Manage technical change/deployments across all environments.

Accountable for managing the UAT and OAT environments
