I'm looking for a PHP developer to get product data from our supplier and store it in a MongoDB. To Do: Create 2 PHP scripts, that run more or less 24/7 (nothing urgent, nothing real time, nothing high demand) and get data from the CURL API of our supplier and put the data into a MongoDB. We already have a basic version running, what needs to be done now is to improve and extend, clean up and make the PHP scripts more robust. ToDo Get products in a loop, product IDs from 0 to 100 hihgher than the last found product ID. Throttle the loop with a sleep statement (5 seconds) to reduce server load. If the loop gets interrupted, start next time from where it left (maybe datetime field?). Built in logging, to show what the application did when. Built in timeout checks for the CURL calls. Is there anything better than CURL? Logging needs to be an extra class (Items and Products scripts should be using the same logging class to avoid code duplication) Both PHP scripts are very similar. This first milestone of our bigger project would be possible to get to a good working version in 1 - max. 2 days.
