This project should be very easy for someone with good GPS knowledge.
We need a website with the functions as bellow:
FUNCTION I.
Address Lists (even really long lists with several thousands of addresses - .xls or .cvs input format) convertion to POI files, geocoding based on googlemaps, google earth, or similar mapping systeme - [url removed, login to view] alike project
FUNCTION II.
Convert POI files to an other POI format (CVS to GPX, KML to ov2, etc.) - [url removed, login to view] alike project.
Convert POI files to CVS or .xls format.
FUNCTION III.
Edit simple POIs and POIs with larger description, photo(s), mp3 with distance alert for all types of GPS available on the market, iPhone, smartphones as well - [url removed, login to view] project
Produce detailed, informative, POI entries with images (and sound) - not just lists of locations. Up to 5000 characters (approx) can be displayed. These descriptions can include basic <html> markup for professional looking results.
Auto-enhancement Detection' eases the creation of complex POI's that utilise Images, Sound and Custom Icon.
POIs should be managed by categories and subcategories
FUNCTION IV.
Dowload POI and extended POI data bases for free or charges, by country, categories, etc. - see [url removed, login to view]
FUNCTION V.
- Registration form for users who want to subscribe to the extended POI data base (with larger description and photos)- see [url removed, login to view] as an exemple.
Please note. This is just an exemple, it needs a lot of improvement (design, utility, content...). All fresh ideas are welcome!
"Duplicate data" button to make registration easier in case of several POIs with similar data (ex. same owner, same location but different description and photo - Hotel-Restaurant).
ADMIN PANEL
- order confirmation with all registrated data sent by e-mail to user and admin too
- simple, easy to understand icons to show wether the order is completed or not (icon ex. order status, published, payed, no photo added, geocoded, users message, etc.)
- edit/correction/add functions to orders placed
- add/delete category/subcategory
- search for and handle (delete)duplicated data
- payee controller: paypal, visa, master, online banking transfer
- automatic Newsletter creator function with latest auction articles
- able to send Newsletter based on emails
- able to trigger email to be sent out if there is any error on site (404) to admins

GENERAL WEBSITE FUNCTIONS/NEEDS:
- make it corolfull, friendly inviting and easy to navigate
- it should be easy to handle for the users
- good SEO on the site
- website functions must be completed and tested fully on all types of GPS and smartphones
