Outlook Macro or add-in

Im currently running Outlook 2003 with MS Exchange (in Exchange Cached mode). I have several public folders - which I have also set up as "Public Folder Favourites" and have set for these favourites to be downloadable. I need an add-in or macro that will ensure that when ever a message in one of a specified list (ie a subset) of favourite public folders is read by outlook - the properties of the message is not reset to being "read" - but remains in the "un-read" state. (Equivalent to the "mark as un-read" manual action - possible withthe right-mouse click) The reason for this is to ensure that I can see a count of the items in these folders on the LHS side bar of outlook - I use these folders as action outstanding folders - hence the count tells me how many actions of a given category are outstanding. If these folders were simply personal folders I could change the count property to display "number of all items" as opposed to displaying "number of unread items". However that property is greyed out in public folders and I cant change it from the default. My request is thus a workaround for the fact that I can not change that count property on the favourite public folders - Hence if you can provide a workaround for that instead of my original request that woudl be OK as well.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
