**Project Scope - Debt Calculator**

The solution will work out total debt, disposable income and duration of repayments.

**Step 1: CALCULATING DISPOSABLE INCOME

**Enter income amounts - system produces sub-total

Enter expenditure amounts - system produces sub-total

*System calculates:

*disposable income (income - expenditure)

**Step 2 CALCULATING DEBT AND REPAYMENT POTENTIAL

**Enter creditor details (creditor, amount owed, monthly interest rate, minimum repayment or minimum repayment percentage)

*System calculates:*

Total required monthly payment

Total amount owed

Monthly surplus / deficit: (disposable income - total minimum monthly payments)

Affordable monthly payments for each creditor (pro rata): (amount owed to creditor x diposable income)/total amount owed

**Step 3 CALCULATING DURATION OF REPAYMENTS FOR EACH CREDITOR

***System calculates

*(total owed to creditor - repayment amount) x monthly interest rate = opening balance for following month: repeat until balance = zero

System calculates years and months

Also *System calculates

*(total owed to creditor - minimum repayment based on %) x monthly interest rate = opening balance for following month

repeat until minimum payment = £5 then repeat at £5 until zero

**Key Objectives:

**System must be easy to use.

Must work on the widest range of machines and operating systems. Results must be clear. Layout must be professional.

All field names, cell names and additional info will be provided on commencement of project.

Please outline how you plan to construct solution (Excel, Access, SQL, VBA self contained app etc).

Also please give examples of similar work completed. I am particularly interested in the look and feel of the finished solution.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

## Platform

All platforms, as wide a usage potential as possible, particularly on older machines.
