## Deliverables
Our site has had incredible server loads which is effecting everything! I need someone to find and fix the problem.
Here is a recent response received from my host
"It looks like the most CPU is currently being used by either MySQL or perl.
While MySQL does indeed look to be hitting it's max connections limit,
I'm led to believe that the server is currently being dos attacked.
I've located the offending IP addresses and blocked them in the firewall,
and will continue to search for malicious scripts currently running on the
server. I will keep you informed as progress is made."
They later say "
The slow query can be fixed by a developer that's familiar with php and
mysql. It may be something simple that can be remedied by removing a plugin,
or some kind of code that was recently implemented on the site."
Then they say "The load was peaked out at about 200"
Then I had them suspend the account because it was effecting the load time of some of our other sites and they told me;
"The query is here:
| 1324 | cente_x | localhost | cente_x | Query | 3306 | Copying to tmp table |
| SELECT DISTINCT `SDatingEvents`. * , `Profiles`.`NickName`,
=========================================================
Also logged in the slow query log:
# Time: 110926 18:23:38
# User@Host: cente_x[cente_x] @ localhost []
# Query_time: 12 Lock_time: 0 Rows_sent: 6 Rows_examined: 130052
SELECT DISTINCT `SDatingEvents`. * , `Profiles`.`NickName`, UNIX_TIMESTAMP(
`SDatingEvents`.`EventStart` ) as `DateTime_f`,
LEFT(`SDatingEvents`.`Description`, 128) as 'Description_f' FROM
`SDatingEvents` LEFT JOIN `Profiles` ON `Profiles`.`ID` =
`SDatingEvents`.`ResponsibleID` WHERE `SDatingEvents`.`Status` =
'Active' ORDER BY `EventStart` DESC LIMIT 0, 6;
======================================================================
These look related to profile dating events.
It's difficult to say exactly what part of the site is asking for this
query, but the programmer should be able to ascertain where it's coming
from.:
