Description
Our company is currently developing a software application and we need an additional part developed below. Console application that is able to record the system audio (also known as loopback recording). This must record all computer generate sounds from video playback to system noises, we already have a java based microphone reader in place, and need this to go into our existing application. This program should work on Mac and Linux and should have minimum dependencies. The program should interface with another application using input and output streams and should have 4 functions: start, pause, restart and stop. The audio data should be saved as a "wav" or "mp3" file in a specified location on the local filesystem (the location will be communicated through the input stream) or the raw audio data should be send through the output stream. The file size should remain relatively small in order to conserve data space.
