550214 Click tracking script

I need a script that combines PHP and JavaScript (jQuery) with a MySQL database to track impressions and outbound clicks on ad banners we show on our website.

The banners are already stored in a table. We would modify the table to also include an "expiration" date and a "track" boolean field (so we can exclude banners if needed).

You will have to create the necessary table(s) to store the impressions and click tracking with a timestamp, so we can pull reports. I use a WordPress plugin that does this well and can point you to it, but this project is not built on WordPress and I'm not looking to copy the plugin verbatim, just use it as guidance if needed.

I want to make sure that the banners are spider-friendly and won't impact SEO. If that means adding "nofollow" to the link, a specific class name to the trackable banners that uses jQuery to prepend the tracking script URL when the banner is clicked, or some other method, I leave it up to you to tell us what would be most appropriate.

Lastly, it goes without saying that this must be secure from scripting attacks. The plugin I use obfuscates the URL completely using base64_encode() then decodes it in the tracking script and pulls the URL from the database. If this is the most secure method, but won't cause problems with the SEO or spidering, then I'd prefer this.

NOTE: We use a home-grown framework that doesn't have as much documentation as it should, so whomever works with us on this project will work together with us. Please consider that in your work schedule. Timing is important but not a critical decision factor. I'll expect daily communication, so please consider your workload, upcoming travel, wellness of family members (yes, I've heard it all) in your bids.

I've found it most efficient when the programmer writes the script as a standalone script and then we integrate it into our framework. However, the script needs to be OOP. You can probably build this one locally versus using the framework's SVN. But I'll give you access to the server and the database, you can store your files in a dedicated directory that won't be impacted by our framework.
