P2P rental system

This website is a online marketplace for people-to-people renting. People will be allowed to come onto the website and post an item they have for rent, their post will include the item’s location, price, description, image, how long they intend to rent item out for, shipping charges and quality item is in. Someone will then be able to view this post, and “rent this item??. *Notes A credit card which is active will be required on signup of both parties. The amount for renting the item will be charged to the buyers credit card, upon delivery of item which must be confirmed via tracking # or if by local pickup (by buyer) the balance for the item minus “our fee?? will be sent to the seller via paypal or check (seller’s choice). Listings can be customizable by the payment structure (rental price is per day/week/month) and will be automatically removed after a buyer rents the item. Premium listings for item categories should be available for a fee. A premium listing will appear on the top of the results for that category/keyword. This site must be very web [url removed, login to view] and easy to use. Extra features include: member feedback system, ask seller question, profiles with items for rent, special listings including bidding for renting an item, trade a rental item for another rental item and a shipping calculator. If item is shipped FedEx, ups, or usps api should be built in to generate an auto tracking # which can be tracked in our admin system so we can see if the item has been delivered to the buyer in order to send the seller his/her money. (IF buyer and seller agree on local delivery/pickup the buyer and seller must confirm he/she has picked up the item when both parties do so the admin panel will show that payment can be sent to the seller for this month) Seller can select how shipping charges will be paid: Buyer, split or seller. This info will appear in the listing with shipping charge from calculator

The buyer will have 7 business days to return the item or his/her credit card will be charged a fee. The return of the item can be confirmed by seller once he/she receives the item or once again by tracking # provided by API Site should contain search system in which all features can be searched by including location If seller has a timer on the rental item (this fridge can be rented for 3 months) buyer can pay for all 3 months ahead of time for a discount Promotion system should be built in where admin can create a promotional code at anytime and buyer could enter at checkout *DELIVERABLES* *DELIVERABLES* The Coder who is involved in this project will complete everything listed in the description. The coder after he is done with this will install this script on the server and get it up and running. The coder will also not give out this script to anyone or use it for his own personal uses.

## Platform

Site must work in all major internet browsers flawlessly. Design will be handled sepertly.
