improve speed of asp.net page and grid loading with quick update

I have this site [login to view URL] which takes ages to load (only 3000 records at present)
Please help in the below ways
1. Faster loading, change the code however you need
2. Update the grid whenever changes to the records are done, since the DB is connected to many pages
3. needs to be done in VB.Net only for asp.net
