A data upload/import facility is required to import company and contact data into an existing browser-based application (IE5.5+). This new facility will be able to import data in a variety of delimited and fixed format text files into a Grid Control supplied by component one. The facility will be a user friendly wizard that will take the user through a simple upload process in a similar way to the excel import wizard. The Grid Control will then be mapped onto the existing CRM applications SQL database.
This facility must be developed using ASP.Net (C#) with Framework 1.1 in mind for a CRM web application that uses a SQL Server database. The whole process must be a wrapped .Net control that is generic enough to handle different database structures/designs.
