Create MS Word versions of Frame Documents

A tech writer is needed to create MS Word versions of Frame documents. You must be experienced with Word and Framemaker. You must have Word and Framemaker. You must be able to produce bookmarked PDF from Word docs.

About 31 Frame documents (1-5 pages) need to be reproduced as Word docs. About 18 are a form with different content in the 6-7 large form fields. Once you've created the Word version of the form its just a copy/paste of text from the Frame doc to the Word doc.

12 of the Frame docs are unique but short (1-3 pages) with little text. Word versions of each need to be reproduced. Some are slightly edited versions of each other.

Some docs link in Visio drawings which are provided. Other docs contain simple line figures drawn in Frame. These will have to be reproduced using the Word drawing tools or you can replace appropriate ones as Visio drawings.

You will create PDF versions of all documents, about half of them with bookmarks.

A work package is attached describing what needs to be done. This includes a checklist for you to verify completion of the necessary details.

Your Word docs must be well designed and constructed. That means using paragraph styles to control formatting of text. No formatting using blank lines and extra spaces for column alignment.

Your version of Word must be compatible with Word 2000 and newer.

The Frame docs you will receive are Frame 5.5.6. You will have to update one Frame doc (a checklist). If that updated Frame doc isn't compatible with Frame 5.5.6 you will have to provide a PDF version.

This is not difficult work. It is a bit challenging requiring a high level of consistent quality.

It might take a person experienced with both Word and Frame a day or two to complete all the work.

Qualified candidates may be asked to reproduce a sample document to demostrate their ability.

## Deliverables

1) MS Word versions identical to supplied Frame documents. Word docs must be well designed and constructed. That means using paragraph styles to control formatting of text.

2) PDF versions of MS Word documents, about half with bookmarks.

3) All documents must be formatted for 8 1/2 x 11" paper.

4) Completed checklist(supplied) verifying work complete.

5) All work completed to at least the level described in a work package (supplied).

6) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
