In brief:
Users of two existing restricted access web sites are able to download PDF “appliance cards” via the web sites. These appliance cards are currently manually created.
The client has specified a requirement to have further appliance cards made available for all or most products sold by its retail network (the users).
The large quantity of products for which this is required, means that a manual processing would prove too time consuming and therefore too costly. Annual update costs would also be high.
A system is to be developed that would automatically generate the appliance cards in PDF format, populated with data contained within a database hosted on the web site.
The winning bidder will
1/ have ASP web servers to develop on
2/ will give us access to those servers to view work in progress (we don't have MS based servers)
3/ will work according to our development standards and guidelines
4/ will commit all work into our core Subversion repository
5/ have sufficient capable resource to carry out the work
6/ not require excessive management time from us to manage the delivery.
The timescales given by you will be met and we may wish to impose a penalty on failure to do so
We will pay on delivery of units of code, with a weighted payment on completion.
