Position Title: Programmer/Developer

Department:Technology & Network Engineering

Reporting Relationship: Manager Network Engineering

Duration:Temp - 1 Month

Start Date: Immediately

Locaion: San Mateo, California - Onsite Required.

Compensation: $50 to $75 Depending on skill Set and Per Diem Needs.

Position Description: The Technology and Network Engineering team at Detecon, Inc. requires a programmer to work on a month long project that ends during the first week of March. The person hired will work closely with a team of technical innovation consultants developing a unique prototype in the area of Biometrics. The individual will need to work within the Detecon office in San Mateo California.

The project requires Microsoft Visual C++, Java and jsp programming to provide an interface between a biometric finger print reader and a web interface. The primary function of this position will be to develope the dlls and browser helper objects required to interface with a biometric fingerprint scanner using the vendor's SDK. It will also include the development of the necessary code base to interact with a web interface and backend database for personal identification.

Depending on performance and requirements at the time, the position may be expanded to permanent at the end of the two months.

Qualifications: Required Technical Skills

•Fluent in Java, jsp and servlet programming

•Fluent with Microsoft Visual C++

•Good understanding of Browser Helper Objects

•Object oriented programming experience

•Ability to decipher and use an unfamiliar SDK

•SQL/MySQL programming

•Database Architecture and Design skills

Experience and Education

•BS in Computer Science or comparable education.

•Experience developing applications and DLLs in Microsoft Visual C++

•Experience with web development in a client server architecture a plus.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Delivery dates will be determined in project kickoff.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
