Cracking some APK features (Android)

I would like to make an app work without the current updates
I was using a previous app downloaded from other APK sources instead of download it from Google Play Store, to use previous versions
The phone doesn't accept an older version, this way I was using the common edit from APK editors to change the version of the older app just to look like the last version
However, the developer has changed API and the older APK is unusable right now
What I need from the developer:
Decompile both, old APK and current APK, compare both and show me what exactly has changed, which features, from one to another
We together will think about what should we do to make a cracked version of the current one to work with previous features used for the older one, we need to remove and fix some features, one by one
I'm not the developer, I'm just trying to create a cracked version for private use and research, the way I need it
