‘PRIDE Physiotherapy & Nutrition’ is a new boutique health practice owned and run by Physiotherapists due to open in Australia next year. We have a limited number of clients paying a premium membership for a range of unlimited private and semi-private services which promote an active, healthy lifestyle. Our unique selling points are:
- The unique membership and service structure
- Premium equipment (Atlantis) and a superior quality facility
- A proactive rather than reactive approach to ‘treatment’ within the field of Physiotherapy; more personal training studio that treatment room
- A unique blend of practitioner qualifications and skills: Doctor of Physiotherapy, Personal Trainer, Remedial Massage Therapist, Myotherapist, Nutritionist, Clinical Pilates - Functional Movement Systems (FMS), Precision Nutrition, and Russian Kettlebell (RKC) certifications
Our target market is 30-40yr old females however we happily help any adult of any age or gender, so a logo must be age and gender neutral
It must be simple enough to be used on all business material and apparel from letterheads, to website to uniforms
The business is referred to by the name PRIDE; ‘Physiotherapy & Nutrition’ do not necessarily need to appear in the logo, or may appear as a sub-text.
The word PRIDE does not necessarily need to appear in the logo if the logo is sufficiently representative of either the name (PRIDE) or our business focus – an active, healthy lifestyle.
Some other words to describe the business which may help: passion, power, dedication, improvement, endurance, exercise, quality, class, fun.
*Thank you for all of the great entries so far! We are really pleased to have such a great choice. We are preferring the while background, simple designs and unique symbols being proposed! There's been a strong theme of green so far, which we can appreciate, but BLUE is our favourite colour and would like to see some use of red if possible. Thanks again.
*We will be applying for the winning design to be trademarked so consideration must also be given to using symbols/pictures already in existence e.g. Da Vinci's vitruvian man. If it cannot receive a trademark, we will be unable to accept it.
* If the ‘symbol’ could be a clear representation of the Turkish get-up exercise, that would be fantastic!

This has been so much harder than we ever expected it to be. 7 days ago we thought we may get about 80 entries in total, but we’ve received an average of almost 100 each day! We are very grateful to have so many excellent designs to choose from; an incredible 40 from rajkumar9871 alone. We’ve been sharing our favourite designs with friends, family and colleagues (almost 60 in total) and they have ultimately made the choice in their votes. There has been one overwhelming favourite.

The brief hasn't changed, not has the style we're looking for. We have tried to rank every design to simply acknowledge how we 'like' it. We only have about 90 mins each day to review and compare the submissions so offering individual feedback has not been possible. You could be from India as far as I know - we still haven't looked at anyone's profile/location. Everyone has been welcome to submit an entry and we have no prejudice with regard to what you are implying.

When I said public feedback, I meant showing the top 12 to a wide range of students and teaching staff at the college where I currently work. The 'likes' had no influence, it was asking which design they liked the most, what they thought of them and any other general feedback. For example, most people saw one of our favourites as "two people holding hands", which we hadn't noticed. As much as we like them, it's other people that we need to be positively influenced by the brand and logo.

@h3nry: i am not saying anything to the CH... just like u i m trying to understand on what bases CH is making his decision... and i think its fair enough... if he were considering only the likes on freelancer website i would have stopped making logos for this CH... i dont prefer making fake IDs and start liking my posts... you can follow the contests I have participated... but i have seen cases when CH is influenced by these kinda likes.. since he do not know some designers like their designs using some fake accounts... if i offended you guys in any possible way.. i apologize...

We are currently receiving feedback from a wide range of colleagues who have given us varying opinions. One design which we really liked and had been in our top 5 for days appeared to some people like a pregnant woman (which we hadn't seen). The final decision will most likely be based on public feedback as they're the people we need to influence. Personally, #215 had also been in my top 5 but sadly general public feedback was not so positive, for no particular reasons.

sir its my suggest to you don't see the logo as per people posted here with wood or with show how it look like there .must see the color and with white BG . Maybe you like mockup but you don't like the color theme .concentrate on colors too .because with logo colors is every thing

To reiterate part of the initial brief, the design should not be gender-specific so we will be unable to use one with a female face depicted within it. We have also noticed a large number which use a 'leaf' as part of the design; it is unlikely that we will use a design which incorporates a leaf.

We cannot answer a logical question with a choice based on emotion. We have a business concept which we're very passionate about and we're simply looking for a design that makes us 'feel' the same way we do about our brand. We have wanted to acknowledge the really good designs (with 4-5/5) even though they may not have created the 'emotion' that we're looking for and subsequently been rejected. We could use more than one of those remaining but if someone is able to come up with a better design and interpret the brief correctly, then we will choose whichever 'feels' best. It is a very difficult decision for us to make. It is worth pointing out that of the 228 entries, only one person has tried to incorporate the design of a pro grade kettle bell, or the FMS as suggested in an earlier post. If I was a graphic designer and the client had made a specific request, I would probably be aiming in that direction rather than focusing on gender as that's less important.

As general feedback, the design brief stated that it was a ‘boutique’ practice with clients paying a premium for our service so the most important consideration branding was ‘quality’. The logo component had to clearly represent what we do. As nutrition is not the primary focus of the business (brief states “active, healthy lifestyle), designs in which food items and leaves could not be considered. The logo could not be gender-specific, so if it had a strong feminine influence (yoga, pink, flowers etc), those could not be considered either.

Please understand that you have entered a 7-day competition and there can be only one winner. We have received 285 entries in the past 42hrs. Statistically the odds of winning are not good; currently less than 0.5% and getting increasingly smaller. We must 'reject' entries which do not match out brand image in order to maintain a manageable shortlist. We have not looked at any of the designer's profiles. We do not know where you are located, your nationality, gender, other work you may have done, or feedback you may have previously received, good or bad. The same applies to everyone else in this competition. One designer has submitted more than 15 entries, all of which we have sadly also rejected. We have contacted him personally and thanked him for his efforts. We have also apologised in advance in this forum to everyone for having to do reject entries however, this is a competition and we can selected only one so we have no alternative. We currently have 285 entries and 261 have been rejected. We are sorry that you feel rejected. Rejection has nothing to do with the standard of work, it is simply a matter of difference in taste and the entries not fitting the brand image. As a designer you will understand that. We are sorry that you feel rejected.
