I think my design satisfies all your requirements. The width and height of chat box can adjust to any size. When user hover on status (green, yellow, grey) round, then status will show as online, not available or offline. Please let me know if you need any changes including colour schemes. This design is done in html and css. Its ORIGINAL and not created from any template. Thank you.
