I tried to make the design as simple as possible with flexibility of furniture layout in mind to accomodate different kind of gathering.

Also, I don't think we plan on putting a table with chairs in the backyard. We would like a counter or bar height island with seating all around for our guest to gather.

Ali, this is a good start. Thank you for rendering our backyard for the design. I have a couple of initial comments. The a/c units in the yard will have to stay where they are, which prevents us from placing the built-in bbq on that side. We would like to do something to hide them, whether that is a small planter area or something else. Also, can you move the built-in BBQ to the opposite side of the yard? We want guest to be able to look out from the sliding door and see our BBQ island area.
