Here are my first 2 entries. I have worked on few of your images to balance the light in the overall composition and set a mood in it. Now you can see the photo looks pleasant to eyes and has an aesthetic feel to it.

The composition in deed looks great, it has a very nice low-light feel, even though there's not that much contrast distributed on some of the objects. This makes the statue stand-out a lot. Did you only use Photoshop?

I perfectly understand your decision to crop the composition, however when people will compare the results I prefer to only have the lighting changed, and keep the framing the same. This will enable a more fair judgement regarding the quality of the lighting design.

Okay, actually I thought that cropping the photo was not a problem. But to keep the contest fair you can leave the 2nd photo in that entry and don't count it. I will try to submit the full sized photo of it with little rework on it.
