There is something in words that intrigues me. The sound of it? The myriad of uses that they can be put to? Am not sure. That mystery element has always been there. Take the word "run" for instance. A simple incospicuous 3 letter word can be put to use in 179 different ways! From "I run a shop" to "run for his money". As a writer, I always strive to stick to two simple principles: Originality & Creative expression Over and above that, a more critical and often ignored fundamental requirement to be a great writer is the "Audience". Alas, if there were no audience to a movie, who'd watch them? Keeping the final purpose of consumption and the consumer in mind is where the line between a good writer and a great writer is drawn. I strive to be on the other side of it.
