How Animals Sleep and Dream
This visualization is about the surprising fact that dreaming is not an activity reserved to humans. Animals also sleep and dream quite extensively! The total height of the plant represent the total time of sleep, while the flower itself represents how many hours are spent dreaming. The scale of the flower serves as a quick indicator to compare the amount of dreaming between the different species. A color code is used to indicate the amount of sleep and dream for each animal. Orange is associated with dream, while green is associated with sleep. Except for the background and the foreground of this poster, everything is made out of typography.
