Contract position as a java developer; project consisted of implementing a web- database application following a Model-View-Control design utilizing Apache Struts, Tomcat, and Jboss. Primary responsibilities included the development of the data access layer as well as corresponding portions of the business logic layer for an e-comerce payment system; more specifically, these included object relational mapping of java classes, the development of data access objects, database programming, and java programming , implemented with Hibernate, Spring, sql/Mysql, and java/java beans, respectively (java classes developed with the Eclipse IDE and plug-ins). Other contributions included testing and deployment with Ant/Junit and the Jboss application server.

Full-time position as a Consultant; projects included the implementation of an e-commerce site selling the broadband service for AT&T ([login to view URL]), using ATG Dynamo (a java-based application server) integrated with an Oracle 8i database on a Unix/Windows NT platform. Specific contributions were developed with java (jdk 1.3.1), java beans/EJB, RMI, servlets, JSP , jdbc, and SQL, and consisted of the following:
a.) Development of user registration/account management features (these allowed the user to register for and manage his customer account), including both front-end and back-end modules; implemented with java, jdbc, java beans, JSP/servlets, and sql.
b.) Development of service availability verification (this would verify that the broadband service could be provided to the user's particular address with data procured from another site); implemented with java, EJB, RMI, jdbc, and sql.
c.) Development of inventory management system; implemented with java beans, XML/SAX/JDOM (for some data procurement), and JSP.
d.) Development of portion of payment system; implemented with java, java beans, and servlets.
Standard project lifecycle included installation/configuration of the application server, class/database table design, development of the above features, and deployment; CVS/Makefile used as file source control in development environment. Other projects included partial development of an ordering system for commerce site using Weblogic integrated with Oracle8i on a Unix platform, implemented with java/EJB technologies and XML.

Full-time position as e-commerce developer; projects included the following:
Development of commerce system for [login to view URL] website using ATG Dynamo 4.5.1 in conjunction with an Oracle 8i database on a Unix/Windows NT platform; features were developed with java, java beans, jdbc, Java/JSP (with jdk 1.2.2), and sql, and consisted of the following:
1.) A shopping cart model; implemented with java beans and JSP in conjunction with application server features.
2.) Portion of payment system; implemented with java, JSP, and java beans, and in turn integrated with CyberSource payment methods.
3.) Inventory system; implemented with java, java beans, jdbc, and sql
4.) Personalization features (i.e., the incorporation of merchant offers and advertising relevant to the user's personal profile) to enhance the user's e-commerce transactions; personalization attributes stored in an XML repository.
SQL/PL-SQL and some database design/programming also incorporated as well. Other (deployment) procedures included load balancing, session management, and pipeline management.

Contract position as database integrator/programmer at an internet service provider company. Projects consisted of the following:
a.) Updated and maintained company's accounting system and coordinated accounting procedures with database procedures. Worked with SQL Server 7.0/Visual Interdev on Windows NT platform to write queries, stored procedures, and triggers to update and retrieve information from the database.
b.) Developed intranet website (with ASP/VBScript pages) to allow company's marketing team to easily access/input data from the database, retrieve a number of reports according to a number of statistics/parameters, and to sort and display this as well (implemented with stored procedures and queries); database connectivity was implemented with ODBC/Active X controls.
