Ltd Lahore Period: June 2008 to Date Designation: Resident Engineer Responsibilities: Presently working on Kasur- Ganda Singh Wala Dual carriage way of about 26 KM Linking India and Pakistan and Validating the Work carried out by C & W Department of Punjab. The Contract includes Road, 3 Bridges and Culverts etc and being executed by foreign company. Company: SMEC and Associates (Joint Venture) Pakistan Period: November 2005 to Dec 2007 Designation: Resident Engineer Responsibilities: Finished working on a 74 Km road project funded by world bank and supervised by international consultants ( Australian)along with Pakistani Partners ( Engineering Associates Karachi). The road needed to be completed as per FIDIC/ international specifications. It is a Project of National highway Authority & monitored by world Bank representatives and supervisors. The project cost was about 6 billion Pak Rupees. Company: Transworld Aviation Limited (United Arab Emirates) Period: Aug 1999 Aug 2005 Designation: Project Coordinator Responsibilities: Coordination for various civil engineering projects between Client, Consultant and Contractors which included offices complexes and ware houses and real estate division for the company. Additional responsibilities included , HRM, review of Policies, general and technical administration, monitoring of on going business projects and logistics around the world. Completed a six years contact term with the company. Company: Directorate of Works, Army Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi Pakistan Period: July 1997 to September 1998,Designation: Principal Technical Training Center(Lieutenant Colonel) Responsibilities: As principal of Technical Training Centre Gujar Khan. Planned, organized & monitored all types of engineering and other technical skills involving mechanical, civil and electrical trades for self employment and rehabilitation of retiring soldiers and young boys. Over all strength of students was about 800 ,with 40 senior/ junior teachers and other office staff. Company : Directorate of Works, Army Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi Pakistan Period: August 1995 to June 1997 , Designation: Executive Director Works (Lieutenant Colonel) Responsibilities: Planned and supervised new cantonments in southern provinces which involved operational , training and residential Complexes. Some special purpose facilities including aviation, educational and social projects were also undertaken. High rise buildings for residential complex were executed. One of mega projects was completed in two years. Company: Frontier Works Organization (Pak Army) Pakistan. Period: September 1992 to July 1995 , Designation: Project Manager (Lieutenant Colonel) Responsibilities: As project manager completed 110 KM of Highway under the supervision of international consultants .This mega project of highway- was worth Rs. 1100 million (US $ 35 million). Many rural roads and other community development projects were added for improving the quality life, education, public health and transport sectors by the state government worth Rs. 150 million (US $ 6 million).Project environments were multi-cultural/social & required development of local human resource for technical/skilled jobs as required by international consultants. Company Profile Pakistan Army Central Zone Period: May 1990 to Aug 1992 Designation: Project Manager (Major) Responsibilities: .Constructed new Buildings Schools , Golf Course / resorts along Jehlem River and completed new Sewerage system in a cantonment. Also constructed new hospitals and medical city with high tech medical facilities required by the zone. Planned and completed a new water supply system along with storage and purification. Operated and maintained the cantonment for all civic services including supply of electricity. Used pre-fab parts extensively for quick construction Company : Works Directorate, Pakistan Navy--- Karachi & Coastal areas Period: April 1985 to April 1990 , Designation: Garrison Engineer (Major) Responsibilities: This position is called for planning, hiring consultants & supervising the contractor’s work along coastal belt/area and Karachi Naval cantonments. It included Multi storey residential buildings for Officers and sailors, offices ,and other training facilities. Completed water scheme in Karachi. Some prestigious projects like treatment plant/ Golf course at Karsaz and naval museum were also completed. Job demanded extensive traveling, coordination & negotiations with clients, local tribes, consultants, & government officials for timely completion.Monitoring, technical/financial control, reporting, troubles shooting & tactful handling were important aspects of the job. Company : Ministry of Defense, Saudi Arabia— Sharourah Cantonment , Period: July 1982 to March 1985, Designation: Resident Engineer (Major) Responsibilities: As Garrison engineer planned, advised & monitored all works in new Sharourah Cantonment . All works were executed by multi-national/international firms/with high tech machines with most modern instruments and technology. Most of the contractors were Europeans and Americans with multi national/social/cultural labour force. The completed works include, hospitals, residential, Internal Roads, water storage/supply, sewerage system, logistics and recreational buildings with highest possible specifications. Completed Projects worth 525million US $.Other works included Aviation/air port facilities, energy, water supply and other services. Company: Frontier Works Organization (Pak Army) Period: September 1976 to May 1980 , Designation: Staff Officer/Inspector/Coordinator (Captain) Responsibilities: The Job carried responsibility to survey, prepare feasibility reports, plan, coordinate, monitor & report about northern area projects worth Rs. 950 million. Most of the work was for micro/macro projects required for development of area and quality of life along KKH and Lowari Tunnel Project. Required extensive liaison and traveling with local authorities, consultants & contractors about funding, budgeting & scheduling and other project aspects.
