MemoryGuard Kiosk App
What we did: Created Android Kiosk application Fully themable user interface, based on colors. Fetch tribute information from web backend, and display several views with information. Tributes have views for viewing and sending condolences. Guestbook view that allows to view previous signs, and add signs, capturing a picture with the device's built-in camera. Created a special caching system to pre-populate all images from the web, and keep them in memory with smart trimming on cache for memory considerations. Custom Settings panel that allows for various data entry, including picking background images, and themes. Implemented auto update mechanism that downloads and prompts the user to install the latest version from the server.
