Propeller Display using PIC16F877A
URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ka3ajnXv3m4 The main aim of the project was to build a new type of display which would be functional on top of any household fan. In order to build this display, a software was developed using PIC embedded C language. The PIC16F877A microcontroller, along with hardware comprising of supporting circuitries and 24 LEDs were mounted atop the propeller of a household A.C. fan. The speed of the fan was around 2000 r.p.m. The display was capable of printing any character of bitmap 5x8 matrix font on the virtual screen which conjured up by rotation of the controlled LEDs attached to propeller. It was capable of displaying a digital clock along with speed of the fan. Light could be used as an input to set time and date of the digital clock.
