A desert skyscraper in Abu Dhabi
The heights of towers vary between 26 and 140 metres tall. The lowest towers include a school with a central courtyard acting as a shaded playground, whilst the rest of the towers are residential in function. On the roofspace, a series of stepped terraces are created as additional places for play, social interaction and kite flying. Overall, the project is designed to respond to the local climate, culture and context - an alternative to the iconic glassy towers too often constructed in the Middle East.
Me concernant
I am an architect and I have received a master's degree in Architecture from Nottingham University. I have designed with 2D and 3D CAD and photoshop professionally for six years. I have worked for two architecture firms and my duties included designing plans, sections, facades, and technical drawings and details using 2D CAD and drawing the 3D model of buildings with 3D CAD. The 3D models included both exterior and interior spaces of the commercial and residential buildings. I have prepared site plans and designed many logos using photoshop. During my master course I have prepared complicated 3D models of tall buildings which indicate energy saving strategies. I am also quite experienced in working with 3D MAX, and sketch up.
