De Velden (trans: The Fields)
The brief was to come up with a brand for a new housing development in the outskirts of the city of Groningen that was called: De Velden (trans: â€œThe Fieldsâ€). As this housing development was going to be situated between the country side and the city, the core message was to communicate the benefits of living between both worlds. The idea developed from my illustration depicting an organic structure that looked like a plant but where houses were growing from it, instead of flowers. It was very well received by the client and from there a whole sort of materials were developed to publicise the housing development: brochures, billboards, posters, bags, etc.
