My work embraced analysing, implementing of the project, training and mentoring during the implementation phase as project manager. It is the aim of the software partner integration (SPI) to implement one or more workflows into the existing software solutions of the partners of the portal operator. The “inbridge“ technology bases on the COM technology and enables the software partners (as customers) to communicate with various suppliers. Here, generally each software partner can also be the supplier, usually said supplier is an insurance company. In most cases, the respective customers are administrative programs for brokers. However, there is also the possibility that two insurance companies communicate with each other, e.g. as insurer and reinsurer. Here, a standard workflow is the sending of an insurance product in form of a request form of the customer. Said request is then accepted by means of a certificate of insurance and respectively answered by the supplier. In such a case, the work as a SPI project manager is connected to the analysis of the existing MVP. During the analysis, it is clarified which workflows can actually be realized in the program. Subsequently, the SPI project manager makes up a concept. On the basis of said concept and an integration training, the SPI project manager supports the supplier of the administrative program for brokers to successfully integrate the inbridge technology into his software. Here, I am the project manager in the software partner integration (SPI). The software partners may use different development environments or system platforms. This requires a certain flexibility and broad knowledge from the SPI project manager. Managing of international and interdisciplinary teams Microsoft Visual [login to view URL], C#, Microsoft Visual Basic, Microsoft C++, Borland Delphi, WINDOWS XP, COM, webanwendung, Microsoft SQL Server, inStep, Microsoft Project, Magic O Industry Optimizing the performance of a 3 layer (3-Tier) application. Searching for and correcting of existing performance problems in a 3 layer application consisting of ASP.NET GUI, C# Middleware and MS SQL Server as database server. The application serves for the evaluation and application of existing products and partial products. Here, my work embraces the following fields: Analysing, drafting and encoding Microsoft Visual [login to view URL], Borland C#Builder ENTERPRISE, WINDOWS XP, 3-Tier Application, webservice, ASP.NET, tcp/ip, http, html, xml O Pharmaceutical industry and health care Product development, document management. Development of a management system for electronic documents for the international admission of pharmaceutical products. Drafting and implementing of different surfaces and the respective manipulating of data in the section “rooms and folders”. Here, my work embraces the following fields: Drafting and encoding Borland DELPHI ENTERPRISE, SQL, XML, Oracle DB, Windows XP O Data processing industry Developing of a communication system for the integration of the following services: language, SMS, Fax, e-mail, address administration and group calendar. The application is a 3 layer application. The middleware is a SOAP web service. The clients should be available under Windows NT/2000/XP and under Linux. For the time being, only the MS SQL server is supported as database server, later-on the Interbase server (Firebird) should also be supported. Here, my work embraces the following fields: Planing, analysing, designing, drafting and encoding. Borland DELPHI ENTERPRISE, BORLAND KYLIX ENTERPRISE, WINDOWS NT, LINUX, MS SQL Server, Interbase, Firebird, Model Maker, 3-Tier application, webservice, soap, web-snap, data-snap, tcp/ip, http, html, xml, CAPI O Graphic Industry Developing of a database for the administration of colours in the graphic industry, said administration being independent of the manufacturer and platform. Developing a 3-Tier application for administrating and implementing of interfaces for arbitrary users. The middleware should be available both in the intranet and the internet, even if firewalls are present. A further demand was the platform independency with regard to the clients used. Due to the afore-mentioned demands, I chose a web service application which consists of the following layers: Connecting the database to the interbase server is realized by means of the IB Express components. The database tables were designed and implemented by myself. The application server has been designed as Apache DLL and uses SOAP as connecting protocol. The administration tool for the colour database has been realized as a client application using Delphi and Kylix. Borland DELPHI ENTERPRISE, BORLAND KYLIX ENTERPRISE, WINDOWS NT, LINUX, interbase, firebird, 3-Tier Application, webservice, soap, web-snap, data-snap, tcp/ip, http, html, xml O Graphic Industry Implementing a conversion of a device control from Windows NT to Linux. My preceding study was taken as basis. Firstly, I migrated an existing Delphi 4 software for the control of the Densitronic measuring device family into a Delphi 7 software. Therefor, I used the Borland technique DataSnap basing on DB express. Having completed this intermediate step, I converted said software to Kylix under Suse Linux 8.2. The intermediate step from Delphi 4 to Delphi 7 Enterprise Edition was necessary since various technologies like database connecting and XML support in the desired form could only be realized under Delphi 7 Enterprise Edition. In turn said techniques were necessary for the conversion to Linux in order to be able to exchange as easily as possible the data between the two operating system platforms. In the next step, I converted the network communication from [login to view URL] to the Ethernet protocol. Therefor, I used the open source component library of the Indy project. In this project, I was entirely responsible for the conception and implementation. As tools, I used the Borland products Delphi Enterprise Edition and Kylix Enterprise Edition as well as the interbase server. The access to the data is realized via DB express. Importing of former data is possible. Borland DELPHI ENTERPRISE, BORLAND KYLIX ENTERPRISE, WINDOWS NT, LINUX, DENSITRONIC, datasnap, db-express, indy, TCP/IP, HTTP, xml O Graphic Industry Drafting a study concerning the possibilities of converting a device control from Windows NT to Linux. Basing on a Delphi 4 software for controlling a measuring device for measuring colours in the printing industry, feasibility of a conversion to Linux, as well as its extend and a concept therefor should be established. On the basis of the technical situation, I developed a solution in which the various special cases (data exchange with other devices, data format, components used etc.) are implemented stepwise. Additionaly, there was the specialty that the source code should be maintained on both platforms Borland DELPHI ENTERPRISE, BORLAND KYLIX ENTERPRISE, WINDOWS NT, LINUX, DENSITRONIC O SAP AG Designing and implementing of J2EE services, administrator tools, tests and personalization in the environment of SAP portal software Enterprise Portal 6 (EP6.0) with Borland JBuilder 5 Enterprise, Tomcat and ANT The project consists of the implementing of the personalization and administration tools within the SAP Enterprise Portal 6 (EP6.0). At the beginning, the developing environment used was Borland JBuilder Enterprise Edition, later-on Eclipse. Apache and Tomcat were used as server. I realized the administrator tools by using SAP J2EE API, SAP B-API, JSP, Java Servlets and J2EE. Independent of users, such tools enable the administrator of the SAP Enterprise Portal to configure the entire portal as a user and to adapt it to the demands of the respective company. Within this project, my expansions were introduced into the SAP API. Further side products of this project were various tests which were incorporated into the general SAP source code. The entire development was performed at and for SAP AG, department for Portal Platform Development, GBU Integration Platform. Due to the international team, meetings and presentations with the colleagues from foreign subsidiaries were held in English language.
