Optimal jamming attack strategies in wireless sensor network

Wireless sensor networks are vulnerable to jamming attack due to their salient characteristics. The objective of a jammer is to interfere with legitimate wireless communications, and to degrade the overall QoS of the network. In this paper, we study controllable jamming attacks that are easy to launch but are difficult to detect and confront, since they differ from brute force attacks. The jammer controls the probability of jamming and the transmission range in order to cause maximal damage to the network in terms of corrupted communication links.
