I am a software engineer who has worked as a professional programmer for 17 years when I was made redundant, I had begun to migrate my skills across to Python (as opposed to moving to C++) in order to refresh my object-oriented skills up to date since my degree days. I have been working on writing a database interface to a legacy C-ISAM system as this is what the software house I used to work for used. I am also working on a dash to python converter which will convert POSIX shell script to a Python based form in order to migrate legacy systems to a more cross platform system.
