Client Project Description: I have an existing 1,500 sq ft 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home that I would describe as a choppy layout. I would like to add a ~32x32 great room with a vaulted ceiling to the back of the house. The great room should have an open floor plan with kitchen, large island, dining area, living area, mud room (small entry room from the left side of the house) and bathroom - ideally a space efficient bathroom that has a shower (no tub) for guests to use. In addition, I would like to add a screened porch off the back of the great room by extending the roof line ~10 feet. If possible, I would like a two sided fire place that could be used in the great room or on the screened porch. The lot is deep and the only restriction is a garage that is about 80 feet behind the existing house. The front of the house seems very plain.
