CompTIA are company that specialise in IT training. One of their services is named Skillsboost, it helps school leavers get qualified for a career in IT.\n\nThe client wanted artwork that would illustrate blasting off in your career. It had to be bright and fun and appeal to young people.\n\nThey also wanted it to appeal to both genders, I had to keep it as androgynous as possible. So I added the face covering helmet and played around with hip and chest sizes.\n\nFocus testing revealed very different assumptions from males and females, so I guess that’s close enough.\n\nI gave two different options, both used colour palettes from the clients brand guidelines. They chose the orange version.
About Me
I've worked in design for 7 years, been freelance for 2, curious for 30. From graphic design for print and web, via animation and video, to painting and drawing cartoons – it’s my belief that creativity is achieved through experimentation. So, never wanting to limit myself, I regularly flex my talents across a range of fields in order to hone my abilities and expand my skillset. At the moment, I’m working on my illustration portfolio while taking on graphic design and creative artworker contracts. Most recently, I’ve been working across web and print for marketing agencies hps group and 3seven9 – creating content, developing brand identities and designing interfaces. Prior to this, I worked on layouts for a newspaper publisher after graduating from the University of Hertfordshire with a 1st in 2D Digital Animation. Keen to commission a piece of work or talk contracts? I’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch.
