You Said
You said you'd never lie to me and so saying you did lie. You said you'd never leave leave me but left without saying goodbye. You said that you loved me, that I could trust you. Did you say that to Her, too? You broke my heart with your lies-- made me feel dead inside. I do not mourn losing you. Instead I mourn for what I lost: for all of my wasted years spent pursuing an elusive fantasy. With you gone I am free to find someone who'd appreciate Me. In the note you left, you said, "I'm leaving you." To this, I say, "Thank you!"
