Design has to be problem solving, betterment in the existing form and function and seeing in the future, something that no one else has seen and articulated. Every existing product has a future and changes to be made with research in market, production and development. Product is then stylized to take the next form and function. Detailing is a major aspect of design, only detailing can help reduce cost, bring efficiency in product working and develops smarter products. Models and prototypes are developed, before production. CAD model is generated and Production Drawings developed. Finally a developed product has all the aspects of user interaction and ergonomics also taken into consideration.
