I was born and have lived here in the New England region of the United States all my life. I have a B.A. and also just completed a curriculum at the local community college to obtain a certificate in Medical Transcription. While I am continuing to prepare for the national credentialing examination and earn Registered Medical Transcriptionist status, I am practicing my typing and research skills at home. I have a USB foot pedal and transcription headset, and a fast Internet connection with several reference sites bookmarked for quick access if I need to look something up. I have done a fair amo unt of freelance work over the Internet in the past, although I found that I needed to decrease my work load while I was taking classes. I live in a single-bedroom apartment, I don't have any children, and I am blessed to live in a quiet area where there are few distractions - which allows me to focus on the task at hand and really concentrate on what I am doing.
