Print Design
Print Design Purpose: Each of these designs were created for real businesses at a crowd sourcing contest website. Each of them were done following information from a design brief, and with no communication directly with the clients, as that is against the rules at each of the crowd sourcing websites. Programs Used: Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop CS5. Skills: Page layout, digital photo manipulation, photo-editing, layer blend modes, cropping, and using grids to place elements within certain boundaries to keep type in a safe printing area. Also, it was necessary to also create bleeds to ensure that each of the items are printed to the edge after the bleeds are cut off at the conclusion of printing.
About Me
Introduction I graduated with an Associate’s of Science Degree in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Online Division in May of 2014 with a 3.92 GPA. This is a new career for me. This is just one of the short-term goals that I have. I have six specific career goals in addition to being a Freelance Graphic designer. Short-term Goals • The first short-term goal is multi-faceted. It is broken into three separate short-term goals, 3 of the 6 total short-term goals that will be discussed here. o Become an Adobe Certified Expert in Photoshop. o Become an Adobe Certified Expert in Illustrator. o Become an Adobe Certified Expert in InDesign. • This is includes two of the short-term goals. o Enroll in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Graphic Design with a focus on Web Design and Graduate by the end of 2016. o Become an expert in Front-End Web Design. • Land a full-time, entry-level job in Graphic Design in an advertising agency, in-house, corporate design department, or a marketing consulting agency. Experience Almost all of my experience is from projects that were completed as a student. Some of the other experience comes from projects completed as a student. The other experience is from designs created for contest entries at places like designcrowd.com. Summary I am starting out as a Freelance Graphic Designer on a site like this one so that there is an open channel of communication between the client and me. This open channel allowed me to post my goals and background fully with the ability to receive feedback from clients who seek quality outcomes for their businesses and organizations or even just for the client personally.
