Screen Shot Of Web site Developed For Personal Project - 2
This screen shot shows a website i have developed. As part of an ongoing personal project myself and two associates have been actively involved in developing a business which sells bespoke circuitry used to attenuate audio signals of musical instruments, most notably electric and bass guitars. As the Engineering graduate among the group my role has focused primarily on operations and technical design. This project has also allowed me to once again become actively involved with web design among other responsibility's. Since the site developed in this case has a commercial use it has allowed me to develop my technical skills with regard to the ranking of the site. This includes using Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques as well as building a Pay Per Click (PPC) campaign.
A graduate of Electrical Engineering and Electronics from the University of Liverpool with experience of web design and development supported by several years experience of working in the retail sector. In addition to maintaining my full time job, I have also recently been employed as a freelance developer on a web development project on behalf of the University of Manchester. This project has involved working with a Research Team in the University in order to identify and assess their requirements and to develop and maintain a website to support an international symposium to be held in June 2012. This has required me to provide technical expertise and to act in an artistic design capacity, creating and designing graphics for the site and for future use in any documentation relating to the symposium, in order to develop a brand for the organisation. I am responsible for updating, maintaining and developing the site on an ongoing basis.
