Tangerine and Kiwi
Getting your kids excited about the food they eat doesn't have to start in the kitchen. In fact, it can start with the reading of a good book - or three good books in this case! I was recently sent three fun books to read and review with my own little plates - Eli and Ben. They love books almost as much as they love helping out in the kitchen, so it was a perfect blend of two of their favorite pastimes. Each book received revolved around two main characters: Tangerine and Kiwi. As brother and sister, these two explorers go on fantastic foodie adventures. They discover not only new foods to try, but learn where the food comes from and how it is made along the way. Although there are four books in the English series (there are appear to be more written in French) created by Laila Heloua and Nathalie Lapierre, we received Tangerine and Kiwi Visit the Cheese Maker, Tangerine and Kiwi Visit the Sugar Bush, and Tangarine and Kiwi visit the Bread Baker.
